Hello, I'm Lovejivan Sidhu, an Honours Information Technology Management student at York University, specializing in Business System Analytics. My academic and research journey is driven by a passion for aerospace, space systems, and robotics, with a focus on project management, optical control systems, and embedded systems. I’ve been recognized with the Lassonde Undergraduate Research Award and have consistently earned Dean’s List distinction for academic excellence.
As President of York Space Systems (YSS), I lead cross-functional teams on mission-critical initiatives, including satellite payload design, assembly, integration and testing (AIT), ground operations, and communications systems. My work ensures that student-led missions meet both technical and programmatic objectives through systems integration, testing protocols, and stakeholder collaboration. In addition, I served as Payload Lead for the SOBER BEXUS program, contributing to systems engineering, interdisciplinary coordination, and mission planning. I also participated in the NASA RASC-AL competition, helping design conceptual systems to support future lunar exploration.
Professionally, I gained valuable industry experience as an Engineering Program Management Intern at Bombardier, where I supported aerospace program coordination, conducted risk and opportunity assessments, and managed supply chain and engineering data updates to help ensure milestone success. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between technology and business in the aerospace sector and continue to seek opportunities that allow me to apply and grow my leadership, technical, and project management skills in high-impact environments.
